Doreen serenades the after-dinner crowd, to the puzzlement of the dogs…
A moment from a relatively tranquil week at a cottage, tranquil except for the part where I locked myself out with dinner on the stove and had to break a window to get in before the place burned down, and of course cut myself doing it, but otherwise tranquil.

Woo hoooo !!
On the occasion of our offer to purchase being accepted, Bob and Lynda celebrate the beginning of the Barkwhistle era. “Larkwhistle” is the name of a world-famous country garden in the Lion’s Head area, which we have visited many times, and what with our many dogs, and the new home’s lovely perennial garden, we landed on “Barkwhistle” as the name for the new digs.
Cheers!!

Funniest photo I’ve seen on Flickr in quite some time, and the first of someone else’s photos that I’ve blogged here for posterity. Just a brilliant counterpoint to the endless idyllic flower pics on Flickr (a few of my own in there too !!) Very “National Lampoon”!! Instant fave, as we say on Flickr.

This old tone-separation is to celebrate the life of Patsy, the 40-year old African Elephant who recently passed away at the Toronto Zoo. It may even be a picture of Patsy soma drug order herself, I can’t be sure. Looks a lot like her. She’d have been a teenager at the time.
