It turns out that that the prayed-for group didn\u2019t do any better than the non-prayed-for people. In fact, the people who knew they were being prayed for <em>actually did a little worse<\/em>.&#8221; [emphasis mine]<br \/>\nMeanwhile, wife of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.suntimes.com\/output\/news\/ebert05.html\">recovering <\/a>film critic <strong>Roger Ebert<\/strong> is asking us, in <a href=\"http:\/\/rogerebert.suntimes.com\/apps\/pbcs.dll\/article?AID=\/20060704\/PEOPLE\/60704001\/-1\/RSS\">this entry<\/a> in her husbands blog,  &#8220;to pray for Roger during his period of recovery and to visualize him being enveloped in healing light. &#8221;<br \/>\nI want him to get better, so maybe I should skip the praying. It&#8217;s not worth the risk. She also suggests he&#8217;d want us to go to the movies. Nobody has done a study on that, as far as I know.
