{"id":830,"date":"2012-03-28T12:01:18","date_gmt":"2012-03-28T16:01:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rgdaniel.com\/blog\/?p=830"},"modified":"2012-03-28T12:01:18","modified_gmt":"2012-03-28T16:01:18","slug":"the-square-round-box","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rgdaniel.com\/blog\/2012\/03\/28\/the-square-round-box\/","title":{"rendered":"The Square Round Box"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It didn&#8217;t start out to be round, or oval I guess, it started out as a regular square box, but I thought it was a bit too chunky or something, so I decided to round over the corners at the bandsaw.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rgdaniel\/6878023784\/\" title=\"Round Square Box by rgdaniel, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7137\/6878023784_12a628006e.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Round Square Box\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The main body of the box is Kingwood, one of those dense, oily tropicals that doesn&#8217;t take a film finish well, so it had just one light coat of Danish Oil finish, and some furniture wax.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rgdaniel\/7024124071\/\" title=\"Round Square Box by rgdaniel, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7202\/7024124071_7a47173a34.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"Round Square Box\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The lid is cherry, with two slightly curvy strips of walnut running through it.
