Seeds of Structure

The title refers to the tiny little variations in the primordial soup in the moments after the Big Bang, which were the seeds of the eventual structure of the universe, galaxies and so forth. At least that’s how I understand it. Using it more as a metaphor, I suppose, and because it’s better than “Working […]

Catching Up

It’s been about a year since I posted anything here — I’ve been super busy doing not much of anything, but I’ve got a little time now so I thought I would catch up.

The last song posted in this blog from 2016 was MakeMake ( pronounced maw-key-maw-key). Three more songs found their way to […]

MakeMake

A new song, named after the dwarf planet Makemake (maw-key-maw-key) which in turn derives from the mythology of the Rapa Nui people of Easter Island, a propos of nothing in particular. Maybe I’ll do a suite of dwarf planets that Gustav Holst did not cover. 🙂

Blackfoot

New song! It’s called Blackfoot, after the Blackfoot Drum sound that opens the song and continues for a good part of it. The images are once again of space things, for no reason other than the general spacey quality of the music.

Goblin Pong

New song! It’s called Goblin Pong, because one of the sound patches is called “Goblins”, and another section reminds me of a game of Pong being played in the background, and in the past. The images are of space things, for no reason other than the general spacey quality of the music.

Images are […]

Snapswish (Don’t Fear the Reverb)

My working title for this new song, Don’t Fear the Reverb was just a little play on words that I thought was original, but it turns out it’s already a thing, so I demoted it to subtitle.

The Lucky Strike ads are just something to keep you from getting bored, and are from the […]
