The bare plywood floor, with
one hasty coat of varathane, has been serviceable, though not very
elegant. Kind of an "early shed" fashion statement.
We thought: nothing like a little broadloom to
class the joint up. So when our friends Ian and Marie decided to
add wood floors in their home, I jumped at the chance to grab the
carpet they were taking out, as it was in good shape. |

Now that's classy. Wall-to-wall broadloom,
including underpad, in the wilds of Gormenghast. The leftover bits
(not shown) were later put to good use as a welcome mat, under
chairs and so on.
There's even a small piece left for the privy,
once I secure it against weasel access. |
