Seriously, I only get angry when anger is directed at me. Life’s too short. And blogging does indeed excuse poor research. Its origins are in personal diaries brought to the web. Some bloggers attempt to rise to the (ever-lowering) level of proper journalism by actually doing research, and that’s great. And I may poke around to get some links for the blog, or cop some quotes from somewhere, but I’m not trying to become part of the official record here, I’m just a guy with a blog.

Your post is visible to the world, so it is subject to criticism when you are wrong, so take it like an adult. And I tend to take care with my comments rather than telling people to “fuck off” and getting my facts wrong. Blogging does not excuse poor research, bad writing, and poor manners. I may not be a redneck, but it is ironic that a “Texan” had to show you proper manners and help point out how angry and pathetic you are.
